Terms & Conditions
DEPOSITS
No date is secure without a deposit. You will be asked to pay a non-refundable deposit of £75 if you wish to secure your preferred date in my diary.
Once the deposit invoice has been issued, you will have 7 days to pay before your date is no longer secure. If I cancel your booking, a full refund will be issued.
CANCELLATIONS
1. On your behalf – If you wish to cancel your booking with Rebecca Forshaw Hair & Makeup, note that your deposit is non-refundable.
If you cancel up to 3 months before your wedding date, you will be refunded a portion of the costs minus a fee respectable for the loss of work (this payment will depend on the size of the booking and the closeness of the date).
Note, cancellations made within 48 hours of the wedding date will still require full payment.
2. On my behalf- If I feel I no longer wish to carry out the work due to violence or other negative behaviour, I have full right to cancel your booking without issuing any refund.
In the unlikely event I’m unable to attend your wedding due to unforeseen circumstances and a deposit has been paid, I will issue a full refund inclusive of the trial and deposit.
If the Met Office issues a red warning, I may cancel the booking and refund all monies except trial and deposit costs.
POSTPONEMENTS
If, for some reason, you postpone your wedding, I will happily oblige in transferring your booking and any monies to a new date (if I am available and it’s within the same tax year). If I am unavailable, the deposit is non-refundable; however, I will try my best to send you a trusted and recommended artist.
If it’s moved to a new tax year, different rates may apply.
PAYMENTS
All payments are required either by bank transfer at least two weeks before the wedding day/trial or by cash on the day; I do not accept cheques. You will be sent an invoice detailing all services applied to that invoice.
TRAVEL EXPENSES
Depending on the location of the preparation, you will be requested to pay for travel expenses. You will be notified of the cost of the expense in advance of your invoice. Travel expenses may include gas costs (charged at 0.40pence per mile from SY11 3DT), public transport costs, parking costs, emissions charges, and city centre charges.
DESTINATION WEDDINGS
For destination weddings, you will have to cover the costs incurred including my travel day rate, flights, transfer costs, UK car park, luggage and the cost of the services you require. If I fly back on the same day, I will still charge the travel day rate to cover the length of the working day.
WEDDING TRIALS
I recommend a trial for the bride around 6-4 months before the wedding day to discuss the look you wish to achieve. If your wedding party is unhappy with the look on the day of the wedding but a trial was not booked, I cannot take full responsibility. I will always do my best to work with the wedding party, but unhappy feelings toward the final product will not be awarded any compensation.
If you have ideas or preferences, I ask you to bring these along with you or send them to me ahead of the trial date. I take notes and make a photographic record of the look we achieve in preparation for the wedding day.
All trials are held at the Rebecca Forshaw Hair & Makeup studio located in Oswestry SY11 1HL. If you are unable to attend a trial due to your location, I am happy to arrange a video call to discuss the looks and get to know each other.
On the day of the trial, I ask you to arrive with clean, dry and product-free hair. All skin should be clean and makeup free. It’s up to you and whomever you bring to advise me of any allergies you may have.
The cost of the trial includes my skill, time and products. However, if you pay for a trial without also paying the deposit to secure your wedding date, I hold the right to cancel your wedding date without awarding compensation.
MORNING OF THE WEDDING
If staying in a hotel, I ask you to inform me of the room number the night before. As with the trial, all hair should be washed the day before the wedding and skin should be clean for when I arrive. I will need a large set-up near a window for natural lighting and a plug socket; I may also ask for a bar stool to be supplied by the hotel. I will send a schedule for the morning two weeks prior to the day.
PERSONAL DATA
I may take pictures of my work for use on my website and social media; if you are uncomfortable with this, please inform me ASAP. I will not pass your details on to any unknown third party. By sending the booking form back and paying the deposit, you agree to my above terms & conditions.
